LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
James M. Pennington, 77, Lily, Ky., passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.
A native of Laurel County, he was born on March 29, 1936, the son of the late Farris and Nannie Johnson Pennington.
He was a retired regional manager for Ford Motor Credit Corporation and a member of Laurel River Baptist Church.
He was united in marriage to Peggy Jean Greer Pennington, who survives.
He is also survived by two children, Darrell Pennington and wife, Gladys, of Lily and Deanna Simpson and husband, Tom, of Hanover, Pa.; a sister, Lucille Baker, of London; two brothers, Don Pennington, of Connersville, Ind., and Bob Pennington, of Sharonville, Ohio; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Lynch.
Visitation was from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. funeral hour on Monday, April 29 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Darren Cupp officiating.
Burial followed in Wiggington Cemetery, Laurel County.
