James David Sims

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — James David Sims, 52, of East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at his residence.

Born Oct. 2, 1959, he was the son of James Blaine (Rod) Sims and Emma Delph Sims, East Bernstadt, Ky.

He was a truck driver and member of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, East Bernstadt.

He is survived by his parents; a son, James David Asher Sims of East Bernstadt; sisters, Brenda Lee Sue Sims and fiance’, Kent, and Crissy Norman and husband, Rob, both of London; brothers, Keith Dewayne Sims and wife, Diana of Winchester, Ky., and Kevin Darrell Sims and wife, Sandy of London.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4 in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Todd Martin officiating. 

Burial followed in the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery in East Bernstadt.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral Home.
