LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Logan Jackson, 84, Pigeon Roost Road, Annville, Ky., passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Berea, Ky.
Born Dec. 31, 1928 in Laurel County, Ky., he was the son of the late Ed and Nora McQueen Jackson. He was a former dic setter for Ford Motor, a Korean War Army veteran and a member of Manchester Baptist Temple.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Thomas Jackson and Ernest Jackson; and three sisters, Idella Jackson, Myra (Sis) Brandenburg, and Allie Taylor.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Denham Jackson, Annville; three sons, Ronald Jackson and wife, Jackie, of Annville, Thomas Jackson and wife, Jodie of Brownstown, Mich., James Jackson and wife, Nancy of Prudenville, Mich.; and two daughters, Joyce Truett, Annville, and Sue Bannester and husband, Adam of River Rouge, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service for Logan Jackson will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, April 17, in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Lyman Fischer and Vernon Truett officiating.
Burial will follow at West London Cemetery with the local DAV in charge of military honors.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Drake, Chris Drake, Logan H. Jackson, James Jackson, Nathan Niedermeyer and Adam Bannester.
The family received friends after 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 16 at the funeral home.
