LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
George W. King, 91, London, Ky., husband of Alice Magee King, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, at the Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.
The son of the late George and Elizabeth Dykes King, he was born in Wolfe County, Ky. He and his wife, Alice, were co-owners of Magee’s Furniture and Electrical Supply in London.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, are two sons, George Robert (Bob) King and wife, Billie, London, and William Earl (Bill) King and wife, Margie, Phoenix, Ariz.
Other survivors include six grandchildren, Alicia, Julia and Alexander King, Phoenix, Ariz., Marti Harris and husband, John, and Tony Brown and wife, Donna, of London, and Michelle Brock and husband, Jeff, Harlan; six great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Dobby Magee, London.
A private graveside service was held Tuesday, April 16 at A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.
Memorials for Mr. King may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 1900 Richmond Road, Lexington, Ky., 40502.
