LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Thomas J. Brewer, 65, Martin Road, London, Ky., passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at his residence.
Born July 9, 1947 in Hardburly, Ky., he was the son of the late Herman and Nora (Tucker) Brewer. He was a mail carrier, a U.S. Army veteran, affiliated with the Baptist faith, and was a member of the DAV, Vietnam Veterans of America, the local VFW, and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Brewer.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy (Napier) Brewer, of Martin Road, London; two daughters, Amy (Kenny) Gaines, and Michelle (Ben) Jones, both of London; four grandchildren, Bruin and Keelin Jones, and McKenzie and Madison Gaines, all of London; a brother, Roger Brewer, of Trafalgar, Ind.; five sisters, Bonnie Couch and Mabel Couch, both of Ninevah, Ind., Jeanitta Fugate, of Hazard, Ky., Debbie Feltner, of Corbin, and Tresa Hall, of London.
Funeral service for Thomas J. Brewer was conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 22 in London Funeral Home chapel with Billy Joe Lewis officiating.
Burial followed in Locust Grove Cemetery with the local DAV in charge of military honors.
Pallbearers were Ben Jones, Bruin Jones, Roger Dale Brewer, Greg Fugate, Jim Bushwa, Shane Frye, Chuck Frye and Steven Feltner.
Visitation was after 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
