Mary Charles (Moore) Combs

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Mary Charles (Moore) Combs, London, Ky., passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013, at The Heritage in Corbin, Ky.

Born June 18, 1928 in Fayette County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Roy and Maybelle (Nash) Moore. She was a hairdresser and member of Souls Harbor Church, London.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold E. Combs; two brothers, Roy Moore Jr., and Thomas Lee Moore; and a sister, Ann Jewell (Moore) Isaacs.

Survivors include two sons,  Thomas E. (Rosa) Combs and wife Rosa, and Stephen (Karen) Combs, both of London; a sister, Gerri Humfleet, London; two grandchildren, Roy Ashley (Leslie) Combs, of Port Orange, Fla., and Stephanie Megan Combs, of Florence, Ky.; two great-grandchildren, Preston Combs and Jackson Combs, both of Port Orange, Fla.;  one step-grandchildren Tim (Becky) Jackson, of Knoxville, Tenn. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Mike Humfleet and a special niece, Sue Wright, both of London.

 Memorial services for Mary Charles Combs will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 27  in the London Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Ball officiating.

She will be waiting upon the Lord’s return at Tyner Cemetery West in Tyner, Ky.

The family will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until service time of 7 p.m.
