Jimmy Wayne Floyd Jr.

Former laborer for Martin Cupp and Son

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Jimmy Wayne Floyd Jr., 43, London, Ky., passed away Sunday, July 22, 2012, at his residence.

A native of Laurel County, he was born July 8, 1969, the son of Linda House of London, and Jimmy Wayne Floyd Sr., Smyrna, Tenn.

He was a former laborer for Martin Cupp and Son, a U.S. Marine and affiliated with the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his parents; a son, Timothy Cole Floyd; a sister, Katesha Hedrick; grandmother, Alpha House;  special friend, Karen Kirby; a niece and nephew, Kesley Hedrick and Trey Hedrick, all of London.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Oscar House; and his grandparents, Lester and Frances Floyd.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 25 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Todd Martin officiating.

Burial will follow in Floyd Cemetery, Laurel County.

The local DAV will conduct military honors.

Pallbearers will be Trey Hedrick, Dustin House, Joey Barnes, Gary Barnes, Jerrod Herron, Ricky Floyd, Blake Hurley and Brian Hurley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Hedrick, Jay Rogers, Michael Watkins and Tony Oakes.

The family received friends after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
