Jimmie L. Black

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Jimmie L. Black, 79, South Long Street, London, Ky., passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, at his residence.

A native of Laurel County, he was born Sept. 15, 1932, the son of the late William B. and Minnie Lincks Black. He was a sign painter, a U.S. Air Force veteran and attended London Community Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Fred Black; a nephew and a niece.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline Rudder Black, London; a brother, Frank Black, Avon Park, Fla.; a sister, Ruth Mitchell, Henderson, Ky.; a special Boston Terrier pet, Laci; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 24 at Lincks Cemetery, Laurel County with the Rev.Delmer Gross officiating.

London Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations may be made to London Community Church, 2551 Sinking Creek Road, London, Ky., 40741.
