Sue Brown Willis Thorpe

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Sue Brown Willis Thorpe, born May 10, 1932 to the late Edna and Sylvian Brown, leaves behind two daughters, Terri Labert and Theresa Dufour; four grandchildren, Kelly Williams, Amanda Johnston, Matthew Willis and James Nunn; two great-grandchildren, Weston Williams and Payton Johnston; one brother, Danny Brown; and one sister, Becky Wilson.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Willis; two sisters, Marie Brown Abner and Rachel Brown Centers; four brothers, Gilbert, Arlie, Tommy and Odell Brown.

For many years, she was owner of Willis Grocery.  She was of the Baptist faith and attended Robinson Creek Baptist Church.  

Memorial services were held at the convenience of the family.  

House-Rawlings Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Today I bid farewell to the greatest woman I knew – My Mom, My Friend.  It has been a long and remarkable journey and I feel honored she chose me to be her daughter
