LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
James Thomas “Jimmy” Morgan, 69, of London, Ky., passed away Monday, April 28, 2014, at Baptist Health Corbin.
He was born on June 19, 1944, in Harriman, Tenn., the son of the late Essie F. and Alma Pennington Morgan.
He was united in marriage to Ella Hulett Morgan, who survives of London. He is also survived by five children, James Thomas Morgan Jr. and wife, Maddie, of London, Gregory Scott Morgan of Dandridge, Tennessee, Rebecca Ruth Morgan of Corbin, Michael Steven Morgan and Billy Morgan, both of New Bern, N.C.; a brother, Earl Morgan and wife, Carla, of London; five sisters, Sue Wiggins and husband, Russell, of East Bernstadt, Betty Terrell and husband, Darrell, of Hamilton, Ohio, Vivian Steadman and husband, Larry, of London, Pat Vein and husband, Art, of Berea and Kim Morgan of Winchester; six grandchildren, Aaron, Luke, Morgan, Jacob, Rachel and Liberty, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
He was a machinist and former co-owner of Morgan Motors.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Harry Ormsby officiating.
Burial followed in the Snuffer Cemetery at East Bernstadt.
Pallbearers were Chad Epperson, Lucas Philpot, Aaron Philpot, Donnie Philpot, Walter “T.” Hulett and Jacob Morgan.
Honorary pallbearers were Darrell Chestnut, Dustin Chestnut, Dr. Mike Thompson and Ken Farley.
