Roberta Vandeventer

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Roberta Vandeventer, 85, passed away Friday, Dec. 28, 2012.

She was born on Aug. 11, 1927 in Laurel County, Ky., the daughter of Samuel and Nettie Moren Collier.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church.

She was united in marriage to Ray Vandeventer, her husband of 66 years who survives.

She is also survived by one son, Gary (Patsy) Vandeventer of London; two daughters, Linda K. Vandeventer and Debra (Kenny) Thompson, both of London; two grandchildren, Justin Vandeventer and Chris Thompson; plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at Bowling Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Boggs, Rev. Bob Dalton and Rev. Gary Kirby officiating.

Burial followed in the Moren Cemetery in London.

Visitation was held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
