James Chester Sergent


James Chester Sergent, 62, London, Ky., passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at his residence.

A native of Laurel County, he was born Nov. 7, 1950, the son of the late James P. Sergent and Herstine Byrd. He was disabled and a member of Poynters Chapel Church.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Miller Sergent, London; two sons, James Edward Sergent and Curtis Lee Sergent, both of London; and two brothers, John Sergent, Lily, and Richard Sergent, London.

Visitation for James Chester Sergent will be after 6 p.m. today, July 19 at Bowling Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday, July 20 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Greg Deaton officiating.

Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery, Laurel County.
