Wilma Jane Boone

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Wilma Jane Boone, 68, of Lily, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Saint Joseph London.  

She was born June 29, 1944, in Winchester, Ohio, the daughter of the late Everett Charles and Ruth Zinsle Stratton.  

She was a homemaker and a member of First Pentecostal Church.

She was united in marriage to Waymon Boone, who preceded her in death.  

Survivors include four children,  Brenda Eversole and husband, Michael, of East Bernstadt, Cynthia Mullins and husband, Richard, and Donna Boone, all of London, and Daryl Boone of Louisville; a son-in-law, Ernest Wagers of London;  special friends, Terry May, Barbara Lucas, Vicky Nicholson and Josh Morgan; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing.  

In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by three daughters, Rebecca, Linda and Glenda Boone; a sister,  Louise Bird; and a brother,  Henry Stratton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday, Feb. 23 in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Delmer Gross and Harry Ormsby officiating.  

Burial will follow in the Dunn Cemetery in Laurel County.

The family will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today,  Friday.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to Bowling Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
