Robert Beckner

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Robert Beckner, 71, of Lincoln Road in London, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Saint Joseph London.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Campbell Beckner; one son, Eric Beckner; one step-daughter, Betsy Cecil; five brothers, Eugene Beckner (Mildred), Norman Beckner (Sandra), Denny Beckner (Jan), Willis Beckner (Betty) and Larry Beckner (Sue); one granddaughter, Kayla Hamilton; special friend, Anne Wagner; and “little buddy,” Alex Wagner. He is also blessed with 16 nieces and nephews and 19 great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Beckner and Daisy Proffitt Beckner; and one brother, Donald Wayne Beckner.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Jimmy Wayne Miller, Jerry Brown and Glennis Proffitt officiating.  

Burial followed at Beckner Cemetery in Laurel County.

The family received friends after 6 p.m. Friday. Feb. 22 at the funeral home.
