LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — William (Bill) Arvin, 77, Fariston Road, London, Ky., passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012, at Saint Joseph-London.

Born Jan. 22, 1935 in Estill County, Ky., he was the son of the late Albert Turner and Myrtle Edwards Arvin. He was a retired state highway department worker, and affiliated with the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Smith Arvin, London; two daughters, Charlotte Jeffrey, London, and Debbie Fathergill, Corinth, Ky.; a brother, Dale Arvin, Irvine, Ky.; three sisters, Wilberta Richardson, Conners- ville, Ind., Ruth Winkle and Anna Cox, both of Irvine, Ky.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, April 6 in the chapel of London Funeral Home with the Rev. Claude Gilbert officiating.

Services followed by burial were also conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7 at the South Irvine Cemetery, Irvine, Ky.

London Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
