Donald L. Williams

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Donald L. Williams, 66, of Richmond, Ky., passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

He was born March 29, 1947, in London, Ky., to Frederick Willard and Eula Lee Melton Williams.  

Donald was an employee of Robinson Tool & Die from 1968-1971, Richmond Tool & Stamping from 1971-2004 and P-K Tool from 2004 until retirement.

He was a member of Richmond Lodge No. 25, F.&A.M., the Scottish Rite Consistory in Lexington, and the Madison County Shrine Club.  He was a member of The Vineyard Congregation in Richmond.

Donald is survived by his wife, Barbara Hensley Williams of Richmond; his mother, Eula Lee Melton Williams; a daughter, Donna Williams Freeman of Richmond; a brother, Paul Ray (Donna) Williams of Lewisville, Texas; a grandson, Jaxon Freeman; four  nephews, Tim Williams of London, Thomas and Roger Williams of Texas and  Tyler Williams of Georgetown, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Willard Williams; by a daughter, Tanya R. Williams and a brother, Larry Frederick Williams.

Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Friday, May 17 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Woods and Dr. Virgil Grant officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rough Creek Cemetery in Laurel County, with Claude Maggard officiating.

Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Ford Hampton, Hershel Whittaker, Steve Hunter Jr. Watson, Tim Williams, Thomas Williams, Roger Williams, Tyler Williams, and Doug Neely.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Singleton along with the Madison County Shrine Club.
