Boyd F. Taylor Jr.

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Boyd F. Taylor Jr., 88, of Somerset, Ky., formerly of London, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at his residence.

He was an attorney and a U.S. Marine veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd F. Taylor Sr. and Lyda Parman Taylor of London; one brother, Oscar Taylor; and two half-brothers, Ray Taylor and Claude Taylor.  

He was the husband of Phyllis Debord Taylor; the father of Vilma Angellio and husband, Daniel of Hartsdale, N.Y., and David M. Padgett and wife Susan of Somerset, Ky. He was also blessed with five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.  

Visitation was from 12 noon until the 1 p.m. funeral hour Saturday, Oct. 6 in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home.

Speakers were Tom Jensen, Warren Scoville, Richard Conley, Jody Albright, Warren Keller and Danny Evans.

Burial followed in the A.R. Dyche Memorial Park in London.

Pallbearers were Derek Jones, Lawrence Abbott, Marc Abbott, Harold Rader, Clayton Oswald and Stephen Spurlock

Honorary pallbearers were members of the  Laurel County Bar Association.
