Beatrice Hinkle

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Beatrice Hinkle, 97, of London passed away on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013.

She was born Feb. 20, 1916 in Clay County, Ky., the daughter of the late John and Sarah Pickard Hall.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Philadelphia Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Hinkle; sister, Audrey Stulz; brother, Ray Hall; son, Johnny Hinkle; and grandchild, Ardith Garland.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth (Charles) Garland of London; sons, Paul (Jean) Hinkle, Robert Hinkle, Roger (Jana) Hinkle, and Carl (Pam) Hinkle, all of London; sister, Johnnie Mae Cornett of Lake Station, Ind.; seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 6 step great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 4 p.m. at London Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Ray Cowan officiating.

Burial followed in the Hinkle Cemetery, London.

Pallbearers were Devin Garland, Lee Hinkle, Dewayne Hinkle, Mike Hinkle, Derek Kennedy and Tom Westerfield.

Visitation was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
