Bruce Couch

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Bruce Couch, 57 of London, Ky., passed away in London Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013.

He was born on Oct. 25, 1955 at Cincinnati, Ohio the son of the late Albert Couch and the late Mary Esther Earls Couch.

By occupation, Bruce was employed by Cracker Barrel Restaurant in London. He was a resident of Laurel County for the past 25 and a half years and had been affiliated with the Latter Day Saints.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary Esther; a sister, Phronia Mae Asher; and two brothers, Paul Couch and Jesse James Couch.

He leaves surviving the following relatives, loving and devoted wife, Oma Jean Nantz Couch of London; son, Bruce Montana Douglas Couch of London; daughter, Angela Nadine Couch of London; adopted sons, Josh Hammons and Justin Jones both of London; brothers, Curtis Couch of Knox County, Ky., and Chris Couch of Bear Branch, Ky.; sisters, Mary Jane Northern and Carrie Jean Collett, both of London; one grandchild, Jesse Tyler Couch of London. He was also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 9 at the Couch’s Fork Church of God at Bear Branch, Ky., with the Rev. Kevin Napier, the Rev. Teddy Couch, the Rev. Charles Shelton and Danny England officiating.

Burial will follow in the Earl’s Family Cemetery at Bear Branch (Dobber Hollow).

Pallbearers will be Bruce M. Couch, Josh Hammons, Justin Jones, Tony Nantz, George D. Dugger, Willie Lee Mosley, Paul Dugger, Bobby Sizemore and Homer Nantz.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, and all day Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Couch’s Fork Church of God at Bear Branch.
