Kenneth Ray Greene

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Kenneth Ray Greene, 64, London, Ky., passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at his residence.

Born on May 6, 1949 in Laurel County, Ky., he was the son of the late Guy and Nannie Dezarn Greene.

He was self employed in the blacktop business and was a member of the East Pittsburg Baptist Church.

He is survived by three children, Stephanie Rae Smith and Charles Eugene Greene, both of London and Melissa Greene of East Bernstadt; a brother, Gene Greene of London; three sisters, Lois Johnson and husband Cecil and Janet Greene, all of London and Joyce Parsons and husband Ray of Hamilton, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Penny Greene of London; a grandchild, Jordan Ray Smith; plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, Jimmy, Bobby and Mack Greene and Doris Marcum.

Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Ted Morgan and Denny McCowan officiating.

Burial followed in Cottongim Cemetery, Laurel County.

Pallbearers were Jordan Smith, Kenny Johnson, Joey Johnson, Ray Allen, Wesley Rookard, Guy Rookard, Dwight Greene, Jeff Russell and Devon Russell.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
