LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — William “Bill” Elliott, 84, Cedar Point, London, Ky., passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.
Born Aug. 20, 1929 in Stanford, Ky., he was the son of the son of the late William Nelson and Mary Whitaker Elliott.
He was a restaurant owner, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Church of Christ.
He was united in marriage to Bobbie J. Reichenbach Elliott of London who survives. He is also survived by four sons, Paul Curtis Elliott and wife Denise of Clearmont, Fla., David Lee Elliott and wife Lora of Hartsell, Ala., W. Jospeh Elliott and wife Suzanne of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Kelly Campagne of Washington, DC; a daughter, Leah Elliott of London. He was also blessed with three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8.
Funeral service for William “Bill” Elliott will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Mark Raulerson officiating.
Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Stanford, Ky., with Caswell Saufley American Legion Post No. 18 in charge of military honors.
Pallbearers will be Paul Curtis Elliott, David Lee Elliott, W. Joseph Elliott, Kelly Elliott and Leah Elliott.
