R. Michael Brown


R. Michael Brown of Charleston, W.Va., departed this life on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

Born and raised in Waco, Texas, he was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. W.W. Brown and Mary Blaylock Brown.

He was a member of Christ Church United Methodist in Charleston, W.Va. He was an Independent Travel director who traveled the world and enjoyed everyone with whom he worked and met along the way.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tommie Lawson Brown of Charleston, W.Va. and his son, Michael Corbin Brown of Atlanta, Ga., as well as his best friends, his sister Barbara Brown Nindos of Atlanta, Ga., and his brother Buzz Brown and wife Tina of Littleton, Colo. Also surviving are his beloved nieces, his in-laws, Tom and Peggy Lawson of East Bernstadt, Ky. and Kevin Lawson of London, Ky.

A private memorial service for Michael will be held later this summer in Lake Lure, N.C.

London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
