Colene Woody

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Colene Woody, 76, London, Ky., passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014.

She was born March 2, 1938 in Clay County, Ky., the daughter of the late Maurice and Doris House Caudill.

She was a former employee of The Sentinel-Echo, a homemaker and mother, and a member of Corinth Baptist Church.

She was united in marriage to Ed Woody who survives.

She is also survived by three children, Eddie Woody and wife Tammy of London, Margaret Tompkins and husband Tony of Berea, Ky., and Doris Pennington and husband Joe of Richmond, Ky.; six grandchildren, Robert Deaton of London, Stacy Karr and husband Mike of London, Ryan Woody and wife Ashley of Chester, Va., Olivia Pennington of Richmond, and Jared and Brooke Thompkins of Berea; four great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Tanner Dezarn and Kayley Karr,  all of London and Kaydence Woody of Chester, Va.; and a special aunt, Zula House of London, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, April 9 at  Bowling Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 10 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Dr. Andrew Dyer and the Rev. Herschel Walker officiating.

Burial will follow in Pittsburg Cemetery.
