Richard Clay Doane

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Richard Clay Doane, 64, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in Houston, Texas.

Born March 25, 1949 in Laurel County, Ky., he was the son of the late Jess C. Doane and Roberta Laws- Doane. 

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam from 1968 to 1972, retired from Square D after 25 years in 1999 and ConocoPhillips in 2008.  

He is survived by his children, Stephanie Doane Butler and husband, Jim, Jessica Doane Kraft  and husband, John; grandchildren, Isabella and Maxim Butler, Bradyn and Caitlyn Kraft.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8  with memorial services at 12 noon at Bowling Funeral Home. 

Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Lily. 

Military honors will be conducted by the local DAV.
