LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Morgan Gilbert Gill, 85, of Bluegrass Road, East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, at Baptist Health in Louisville, Ky.
Born April 12, 1928 in Laurel County, Ky., he was the son of the late Jerry B. and Cordia Pearl Seeley Gill.
He was a retired truck driver, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Survivors include a son, James Michael Gill and wife, Nina, of Romeoville, Ill.; two brothers, Arthur Gill, Hamilton, Ohio, and Jerry Lyndon Gill, Seven Miles, Ohio; three sisters, Lydia Mae Links, and Inez Grubb, both of Hamilton, Ohio, and Lucy Brock-man of Sand Gap, Ky.
He is also survived by five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step- great-grandchildren; and his companion, Rendia K. Reed Gibson of East Bernstadt.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Kathleen Gill.
The family of Morgan Gilbert Gill will receive friends at London Funeral Home Saturday, March 8 from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. funeral hour with Delmar Gross officiating.
Burial will follow in Edwards Cemetery, Laurel County, with the local DAV in charge of military honors.
