LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Vincent Ivey, 77, of London, Ky., passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his residence.
Born on September, 16, 1936, in London, Ky., he was the son of the late Steve and Lillie Garland Ivey.
He was a supervisor at Caron Spinning Company, a member of the Lily Baptist Church and a 32nd Degree Mason of Bush Lodge #703 F&AM. He served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Hodge Ivey; sisters, Lula Mae Ivey, Bertie Ivey and Cecil Brown; and brother, Eugene Ivey.
He was survived by his daughter, Vincelea Bakelaar of London; brother, Roy Lee Ivey of Fairfield, Ohio; and granddaughter, Bridgett Johnson Hacker of Lawton, Okla.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 1 at 1 p.m. at the London Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wilmer Evans officiated.
Burial followed in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens, Lily, Ky.
Visitation was held Monday, March 31 at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers were Steven Ivey, Mark House, Paul Windhorn, Ronald Hacker, Randy Hodge and David McHargue.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Henson, Jeremy Keeton and Doug Johnson.
