Dallie Ethel King

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Dallie Ethel King, 89, Meadow Brook Road,  London, Ky., passed away Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born March 1, 1924 in Harlan, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rebecca Jackson Burkhart.

She was a homemaker and affiliated with the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter King Sr.; a daughter, Joyce Ann King; a granddaughter, Linda Sue King; a sister, Helen June Blanton;   and seven brothers, Burchell Burkhart, Hayward Burkhart, Dennis Burkhart, Orville Burkhart, Burley Burkhart, Herschel Burkhart and Elvin Burkhart.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda King, London, and Sue Meinshausen, Georgetown, Ky.; two sons, Walter King Jr. and wife, Cherry, Lawrenceburg, Ky., and Harold W. King and wife,  Alice, Edgewater, Fla.; a brother, Andrew Burkhart, Corbin, Ky.; five grandchildren, Tammy Sharp and husband, Bryan, Randy King and wife, Diane, Richard King and wife,  Karen, Robert King and Kimberly King; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was conducted at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18 at London Funeral Home.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19 in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Claude Maggard officiating.

Burial followed in McDaniel Cemetery, Laurel County.
