Evelyn Edith Woods Sizemore

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Evelyn Edith (Woods) Sizemore, 63, of Swafford Drive, London, Ky., passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Baptist Health in Corbin, Ky.

Born July 18, 1950 in Leslie County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Beulah Woods and George Salyers.

She was a supervisor for Brainard Industries and a member of the Circle of Faith Holiness Church, London.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-mother, Gracie Salyers; four brothers, Ruck Vernon Woods, Chad Salyers, Shafter Salyers and William Woods; three sisters, Ruby Woods, Zuby Woods and Peggy Fritz; and her in-laws, Lincoln and Sally Ann Sizemore.

She is survived by a son, Michael Thomas Sizemore and wife Regina (whom she loved like her own) of London; siblings, Vicky Collett of Leslie County, Ky., Phyllis France of London, Elbert Woods of Manchester, Ky., and Frederick Woods of Dayton, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Michael Joseph Sizemore and Alaina LaShae Sizemore. She was also the half-sister of Louise Begley, Edna Faye Napier, Leva Ann Watkins, Charles Lee Salyers, and Michael Salyers all of London. And 

Funeral services for Evelyn Edith (Woods) Sizemore were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, in London Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sammie Trosper and Dale Wyatt officiating.

Burial followed at Woods-Keen Cemetery at Thousandsticks, Ky.

Pallbearers were Michael Joseph Sizemore, Jeremy Woods, Joshua Woods, Tyler Gibbons, Todd Collett, Arizona Collett, Jordan Barnard and Leonard Collier.

The family received friends at London Funeral Home after 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7.
