Martha Louise Kennedy

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Martha Louise Miracle Kennedy, 76, London, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, at Saint Joseph London.

She was born April 9, 1937 in Laurel County, Ky., the daughter of the late Dan and Mary Elizabeth Harville Miracle.

She was self-employed along with her husband who operated Kennedy Garage and was a member of the Fariston United Baptist Church.

She was united in marriage to John Kennedy who survives. She is also survived by three children, J. D. (Donna) Kennedy of London, and C.A. (Angie) Kennedy of Corbin, and LeAnn Kennedy of London; a daughter-in-law, Delonda Root of London; a sister, Shirley (Hughie) Hopkins of London; seven grandchildren, Kiffen, Keaton, Jared, and Hunter Kennedy, Jakobe Root, and Logan and Jacob Johnson;  plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by a son, Zane Kennedy; and two brothers, James and Eston Miracle.

Funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with Wilmer Evans, John Hale and Owen Edwards officiating.

Burial followed in Liberty Cemetery, Laurel County.

Pallbearers were Jared and Keaton Kennedy, Brodie Creech, Jerry Hopkins, Bill Prewitt and Danny Miracle.

Honorary pallbearers were Jonathan Jeffrey Amburgey, Joe Prewitt, Delbert Miracle, Carl Settles, Doug Root, Kenzie House and Jimmy Prewitt.

Visitation was after 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20 at the funeral home.
