Roy Glenn Williams

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Roy Glenn Williams, 54, Mullins Road, London, Ky., passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Saint Joseph London.

He was born in Indianapolis, Ind., on Dec. 22, 1958, the son of the late Delmar Williams and Barbara Ann (Bruner) Smallwood.

He was a member of Robinson Creek Missionary Baptist Church and a mechanic.

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his step-father, Woodrow Smallwood; and two sisters, Wilma Burkhart and Virginia Bentley.

He is survived by three sons, Timothy Dixon, Jason Williams and Brandon Williams, all of London, Ky.; three daughters, Tisha Chapman and Roseanna Meagher, both of Hamilton, Ohio and Tracy Lee Williams of London; five sisters, Angie Sweet, Teresa Frisk, Marlene Cheek, Betty Taylor and Judy Dammarell, all of London; and by seven brothers, David Williams, Jerry Williams, George Williams, Matthew Smallwood, Chris Smallwood,  Alex Smallwood and Luther Smallwood, all of London. He was also blessed with nine grandchildren, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Roy Glenn Williams will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 9 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Medley officiating.

Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Laurel County.

Pallbearers will be Jason Williams, Luther Smallwood, Alex Smallwood, David Williams Jr., Brandon Williams and Kenny Williams.

 The family received friends at London Funeral Home after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to London Funeral Home toward funeral expense.
