Carl (Duke) House

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Carl (Duke) House, 59, Ben House Road, London, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at his residence.

A native of Laurel County, he was born March 1, 1954, the son of the late Otis and Betty Deaton House.

He was a logger and attended New Bethel United Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Diana Kay Hatcher and Della Rae House; and two brothers, Eddie Dean House and Jimmy House.

Survivors include a daughter, Jolenia Bendschneider, London; a son, Otis James House, London; two sisters, JoAnn Johnson and Faye Smith, both of London; and three grandchildren.

Visitation was at London Funeral Home Saturday, Oct. 5 from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. funeral hour with Verrell Root and Phillip Proffitt officiating.

Burial followed in the Ben House Cemetery, Clay County.

Pallbearers were Dennis Smith, James Smith, Jackie Bowling, Steven Mills, John Wesley Scrivner and Eddie House.

Honorary pallbearers were Dalton House and Walt Smith.
