Jody Renee Johnson

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Jody was called to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Oct. 29, 2013.  She was born in London, Ky., on March 2, 1966, living in Hamilton, Ohio the majority of her life. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Jake Johnson; mother, Celia Johnson; step-mother, Katy Johnson; two brothers, Michael Wayne Johnson and Billy Lee Johnson; and one sister, Sue Burns.

She leaves two sons, Doug Spurgeon and wife, Nicky, Spurgeon of East Bernstadt and Rusty Spurgeon of Florida; three sisters, Etta Hodge, Judy Scott and Sharlene Thompson, all of London; four brothers, Douglas P. Johnson of Lily, George Earl Johnson of London, Charles Ray Johnson of Pittsburg and James Jake Johnson of Florida; and four grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her best friend, Tom Singleton of Hamilton, Ohio.

There will be no services.  Contributions in her memory may be made to the Hope Lodge, 1500 College Way, Lexington, KY  40502.

Bowling Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
