Annette Smith

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Annette Smith, 72, East Bernstadt, Ky., passed away at her residence Friday, June 28, 2013.

She was born Oct. 26, 1940 in Leslie County, Ky., the daughter of the late Robert and Sally Morgan. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She was united in marriage to Evert Lee Smith who survives, and to this union were born two sons, Randy Smith and wife Leslie of East Bernstadt and Michael Lee Smith and wife Rebecca of Somerset.

She is also survived by four brothers and six sisters, Rubble, James C., and Roger Wade Morgan, Lois Roberts, Velma Bowling and Pollie Howard all of Stinnett, Ky.; Larry Morgan of Hyden, Ky.; Linda Roberts of Dayton, Ohio; Violet Smith of Roark, Ky.; and Merinda Garrison of London; five grandchildren, Kelly Leann, Daniel Jacob, Ryan Michael, Sarah Nicole and Elizabeth Ruth Smith.  

She was preceded in death by four siblings, Thomas A. Morgan, Eunice Collett, Zilpha Baker and Marlene Napier.

Funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30 in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home. Burial followed in Evert L. Smith Cemetery, East Bernstadt.
