Irene Louise Boggs Zbacnik

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Irene Louise Boggs Zbacnik, 75, of Rudder Road, London, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at her residence.

A native of Laurel County, she was born Jan. 18, 1937, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Messer Boggs. She was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reason Zbacnik; a sister, Florence Rudder; two brothers, Ralph Boggs and David Boggs; and a grandson, Michael Zbacnik.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Zbacnik, of Monroe, Ohio and Jeffery (Clara) Zbacnik, of Trenton, Ohio; a daughter,  Barbara (Steven) Clifton of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sisters, Nancy Baldwin, London, Laura Adams, Kettering, Ohio and Cora Grooms, New Jersey; three brothers, Walter Boggs and Paul Boggs, both of London, and Larry Boggs of Troy, Ohio; five grandchildren, Gary York, Lacey York, Lindsey York,  Zachary Zbacnik and Taylor Zbacnik; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8  in London Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ronnie Ball and Pastor Dale Campbell officiating.  Burial was in Old Union Cemetery.

The family received friends at London Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral hour.
