Irene S. Marshbank-Herron

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Irene S. Marshbank-Herron (nee Mason) passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at age 92 in Belleville, Ill.  

Born in Hazel Patch, Ky., she is the daughter of the late Sidney and Minerva Mason.

 She is the beloved wife of the late James D. Marshbank Sr. and the late William E. Herron; devoted mother of James D. (Deborah) Marshbank Jr. and Sandra F. (Jeffrey) Durham, step-mother to Lester (Gladys) Herron, Shirley (Bradley) Greene and the late Randy Herron and sister of the late Everett, Charles, Clennon, Lowell, George Robert, Raymond, Osha and Clova Mason and Freida Whitaker.  

She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today,  Wednesday, Dec. 12 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Road (just south of Glendale-Milford Road) in Evendale.  Reverend Larry Bowden will be officiating.  

Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mt. Healthy.  

Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, sending memorial gifts to Copper Creek Christian Church, 2184 Vadalabene Dr., Maryville, IL 62062, would be appreciated.
