LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Carol Miller Melton, 80, Hamilton, Ohio, formerly of Laurel County, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Glen Meadows Nursing Home in Hamilton.
Born Feb. 27, 1932 in Manchester, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Tom and Lucy Tuttle Miller. She was a homemaker and member of Seven Mile Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 63 years, Roy A. Melton; and two sisters, Cleo Minton and Claudia Hendrix.
She is survived by three children, Jerry W. Melton and wife, Robin, Raymond E. Melton and wife, Hermetta, and Wanda Kay Melton; two sister, Christine Smith and Geneva Minton; two brothers, John Miller and Merle Miller; five grandchildren, Raymond Melton, Terry Tucciabone, Chris Melton, John Lay and Mallisa Vandyke; several great-grandchildren, plus a host of family and friends to mourn her passing.
The family received friends Thursday, Aug. 16 from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. funeral hour in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Bro. Denny McCowan officiating.
Burial followed in Rough Creek Cemetery in Laurel County.
