Dorothy Hubbard Martin

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Dorothy Hubbard Martin, 81, of Chandler Road, Annville, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at her residence.

Born April 10, 1931 in Laurel County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Hanson Hubbard and Hazel Vandy Hubbard Martin. She was a homemaker and member of Greenmount Baptist Church, Greenmount.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam Martin; two brothers, James Clinton Hubbard and Donald Ray Martin; and a sister, Luetta Hubbard; a niece, Samantha Rae Martin, Corbin; a nephew, Russell (Tina) Blakley, Somerset; and a sister-in-law, Janice Hubbard, London.

Funeral services were conducted at 12 noon Saturday, Jan. 19 in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Claude Maggard officiating.

Burial followed in McDaniel Cemetery in Laurel County.

Pallbearers were Stevie Gilbert, Steven Allen, Wade Nicholson, Charles Ohler, David Martin, Bob Martin, Tom Martin and Jerome Vandy.

The family received friends at London Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Friday.
