Janrose Johnson Moore

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Janrose Johnson Moore, 82, London, Ky., passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington.

 Born Dec. 20, 1930, in Knox County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Mack and Sudie McFadden Johnson.

She was a retired school teacher with a master’s degree in education from Eastern Kentucky University and a member of Pine Hill United Baptist Church, where she was a great prayer warrior.

She was united in marriage to Ray Moore, who preceded her in death.  

She is survived by a daughter,  Joy Patterson of London; one sister,  Cassie (Carl) Reed of London; a brother,  David Johnson of London; two grandsons,  Jason Ray (April) Patterson of London and Mark Wesley Patterson of Lexington; two great-grandchildren,  Micah Reese Patterson and Kyndal Madison Patterson; plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Janrose Moore will be conducted at 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 23 in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Jabe Smith officiating.  

The committal service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Pleasant View Cemetery in London.

The family of Janrose Moore will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home from  4 p.m. Wednesday until the funeral hour.
