H.B. Henson

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — H.B. Henson, 64, of Somerset Road, London, Ky., passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at his residence.

Born Sept. 7, 1948 in Clay County, Ky., he was the son of Florence Mitchell Henson, London, and the late Charlie Henson.

He was preceded in death by his father; a son, H.B. Henson Jr.;  and a brother, Roy Henson.

He was an employee of Bargo Vault and of the Pentecostal faith.

He is survived by his mother; a daughter, Patsy (Hubert) Hubbbard, London; a son, Roy Henson, London; two step-daughters,  Joyce Carter, London and Carol Phelps, Livingston, Ky.;  a brother, Robert Henson, Hamilton, Ohio; two sisters, Bonnie (Jeffrey) Longfellow, Richmond, Ind., and Beatrice (Pearl) Feltner, Indianapolis, Ind.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and by two special friends Juanita Powell and Teresa Robinson both of London.

Funeral services for H.B. Henson were conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22 in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Tess Lipps and Beulah Kemp officiating.

Burial followed in Vaughn Cemetery in Annville, Ky.

Pallbearers were Russell Hacker, Corey Henson, Lonnie Philpot, Eddie Longworth, Colson Robinson, Daniel Robinson and Jacob Scalf.

The family received friends after 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
