Riley Weaver

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Riley Weaver, 87, Glenview Road, London, Ky., passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.

A native of Laurel County, he was Oct. 9, 1925, the son of the late Robert and Vernia Asher Weaver.

He was a retired school teacher and member of Old Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Elizabeth Brown Weaver; three sisters, Mattie Bachelor, Lois Weaver and Lorene Weaver; six brothers, Vernon Weaver, Robert Weaver Jr., Oscar Weaver, Eugene Weaver, Russell Weaver and Harold Weaver.

He is survived by two sons, Darrell (Susan) Weaver and Doug (Vickie) Weaver, both of London; two  brothers, Carmen Weaver, London, and M.B. Weaver, Long Beach, Calif,; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Johnson and Julia House, both of London; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Greg) Winberry, and Elizabeth Weaver, both of London; and two great-grandchildren, Ty and Tyarn.

A celebration of life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23 in the chapel of London Funeral Home with Craig Morgan and Randall Eversole officiating.

Burial will follow in Old Salem Cemetery, Laurel County.

Mr. Weaver’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.

The family received friends at London Funeral home after 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
