LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
Glen Orvil Evans, 73, of East Bernstadt, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at his residence.
Born Sept. 14, 1939, in Laurel County, Ky., he was the son of the late Clarence and Maxie Cathers Evans.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator and was affiliated with the Holiness faith.
Survivors include his wife, Connie House Evans of East Bernstadt; five children, Donta (Vonnie) Evans of East Bernstadt, and Vera (Todd) McGhee of East Bernstadt, Diane (Bobby) Evans of Harrodsburg, Ricky (Jami) Evans of London, and Deon Evans of London; two sisters, Alma Gilbert of East Bernstadt, and Ettalene Graves of Georgetown, Ohio; one brother, Coy Evans of East Bernstadt; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Jeff Lewis officiating.
Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at East Bernstadt.
Pallbearers were Donta, Ricky, Deon and Tyler Evans, Bobby Carrier, Travis Monhollen and Ronnie Jervis.
