William Ernest Harkleroad

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — William Ernest Harkleroad, 70, London, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012.

He was born Aug. 31, 1942 in Laurel County, Ky., the son of the late Achilles Brown Harkleroad and Nancy Ellen McFadden Harkle-road.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene and John C.; and four sisters, Frances Robertson, Lucille Harkleroad, Dixie Lee Davidson and an infant sister.

He is survived by a son, Achilles Harkleroad of New Albany, Ind.;  a brother, Jesse (Sonia) Harkleroad of Fairfield, Ohio; three sisters, Mary Jane Benge and Julia Ann (Dootsie) Ratlif, both of Hamilton, Ohio and Betty Jo (John H. Sr.) Davidson of London; plus a host of other nieces, nephews and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral hour in the chapel of Bowling Funeral Home with the Rev. Denny Proffitt officiating.

Burial will follow in the McFadden Cemetery in Laurel County.

Pallbearers will be Todd Smith, Randy Aragon, Charles Davidson, Nathan Davidson, Marty Martin and Makayla Jo Sexton.
