Sarah Marie Scott

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — Sarah Marie Scott, 72, of Highway 1394, East Bernstadt, Ky., passed Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at the residence of her daughter.

A native of Laurel County, she was born Feb. 1, 1940, the daughter of the late Ben and Cora Beatrice Hurley Scott. She was a caregiver.

Survivors include five daughters, Mary Napier and Candice Hall both of East Bernstadt, Beverly Baker of London, Muriel Latham of Thomasville, N.C., and Brenda Jones of Louisville; two sons, William Sydney Bowling, London, and Anthony Bowling of Paisley, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Elza officiating.

Burial followed at Landrum Cemetery, East Bernstadt.

Pallbearers were Jason Bowling, Larry Scott, Dale Pitman, Jonathan Baker, Clint Pitman and Jim Pennington.

The family of Sarah Marie Scott received friends after 6 p.m. on Sunday.
