Jaguars place second at Model All-Comers meet

RICHMOND—The North Laurel girls’ and boys’ track teams both finished second in the Model All-Comers Meet Tuesday evening in Richmond.
The Lady Jaguars finished with 87 points, behind Model’s 162, while the Jaguars had 75 points to finish second to Madison Central’s 161.
Caleb Mosley also bettered his school record in the 110 hurdles by a tenth of a second with a new time of 16.43.
“Everyone contributed well and both teams showed good team effort,” Coach Kevin Bradford said. North Laurel is now preparing for the region meet, which starts Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Pulaski County.
The girls’ 4x800 relay team of Jessica House, Kaitlyn Harrison, Tara Egner and Nikki Marcum took third place, as did the boys’ team of Robert Melton, Keith Parrott, Andrew Kidd and Gregory Randolph.
In the girls’ 100 hurdles, Katie Corso placed fourth, while in the boy’s 110 hurdles, Mosley finished first in 16.43. Andi Skiles took third in the girls’ 100, with Amy Patton placing 14th. In the boys’ 100, Trey Lovins came in 28th.
North Laurel ‘A’ (Kaitlyn Harrison, Ashlee Chastain, Tara Egner and Katie Corso) placed fifth in the girls’ 4x200. In the girls’ 1600, Meredith Johnson took fourth and Jessica House, 12th. Gregory Randolph placed second and Robert Melton, fifth, in the boys’ 1600.
In the girls’ 4x100 relay, North Laurel ‘A’ (Tara Egner, Ashlee Chastain, Jaylea Earle and Amy Patton) came in sixth. Amy Patton placed eighth and Nikki Marcum, ninth, in the girls’ 400. In the boys’ 400, Andrew Kidd came in 13th, Daniel Watson, 14th, and Aaron Nelson, 21st. Katie Corso placed second in the girls’ 300 hurdles, while in the boys’ event, Caleb Mosley took first (42.82) and Robert Melton, sixth.
Meredith Johnson captured first in the girls’ 800 with a time of 2:37.03. In the boys’ 800, Gregory Randolph placed fourth and Keith Parrott, ninth.
Andi Skiles took third in the girls’ 200 with Kaitlyn Harrison placing 13th. In the girls’ 3200, Meredith Johnson took third and Jessica House, sixth.
Gregory Randolph took first in the boys’ 3200 with a time of 11:13.68, while Robert Melton placed third and Daniel Watson, eighth. In the girls’ 4x400, North Laurel ‘A’ (Kaitlyn Harrison, Katie Corso, Nikki Marcum and Amy Patton) took fourth, and North Laurel ‘A’ (Andrew Kidd, Keith Parrott, Isaac Martinez and Caleb Mosley) placed fifth in the boys’ event.
Daniel Watson placed fourth in the boys’ pole vault, and Andi Skiles took second in the girls’ long jump. In the boys’ long jump, Caleb Mosley placed fourth and Aaron Nelson, 13th. Andrew Kidd took fifth in the boys’ triple jump, while Katie Hartney placed third in the girls’ discus. Jonathon Rednour took 20th in the boys’ event.
Hartney won the girls’ shot put with a distance of 30-00.50, with Andi Skiles placing fourth. Jonathon Rednour took 15th in the boys’ shot put.
