Burglars hit Keavy Grocery

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —

The person or persons who broke into a southern Laurel store, causing damages and taking money, are being sought by Laurel County Sheriff’s officials.

The break-in occurred early Wednesday morning just before 3 a.m. when one or more persons broke out the front door of Keavy Grocery, shattering it. The burglar(s) then tried to force open an ATM machine, but were unsuccessful. When the ATM theft failed, the burglar(s) then broke into a quarter machine, but took only a small amount of change and fled the scene.
