LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
A three-vehicle crash at the intersection of the Fariston Road tunnel entrance and south U.S. 25 injured two motorists Friday afternoon.
Charlotte Perry, 48, of John Parker Road in Lily suffered multiple injuries and was transported to Saint Joseph London. Sandra Carol, 52, of Dolly Miller Road in East Bernstadt suffered multiple injuries and was transported to Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin. Patric Haddix, 18, of Jackson, Ky., was uninjured.
Laurel County Sheriff John Root said Deputy Robbie Grimes along with Deputy Josh Scott are investigating the crash that occurred around 1:45 p.m.
A dark blue Suzuki SUV, driven by Perry, was northbound on U.S. 25, and turned left into the path of a southbound red Ford Ranger, driven by Carol. The collision caused a third vehicle to be struck — a GMC pickup that was driven by Haddix that was stopped at a stop sign at the Fariston Road tunnel.
Assisting at the scene were the London-Laurel County Rescue Squad, Lily Volunteer Fire Department, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, and the Division of Public Safety Emergency Management.
