LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
A Tyner man was killed in a traffic accident on Ky. 30, four miles north of London, Saturday. Laurel County Sheriff's Deputy Kirk Mays is investigating the one-vehicle crash which took place about 2 a.m.
Christopher L. Keifer, 29, of R. Jones Road, was pronounced dead at the scene by Laurel County Deputy Coroner Nolan Blevins.
Apparently, Keifer’s was traveling at a high rate of speed in his Ford Explorer when he lost control, overturning several times, traveling off the roadway, and then back to rest onto the roadway. He was ejected during the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor.
Assisting at the scene were Deputy Brett Reeves, London Police Department, Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County, London-Laurel County Rescue Squad, East Bernstadt Volunteer Fire Department, and the Laurel County Coroner's Office.
