Pageant winners: Laurel County Fair royalty

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — The 2012 Miss Laurel County Fair pageant was held Wednesday night, with Andrea Wallace, 17, taking home the crown.  First runner up was Danielle Brockman, 20, and second runner up was Riley Cowles, 20.



The winners of the Little Mister and Miss Laurel County Fair pageant were also announced Wednesday.  The youth, ages 5 to 7, competed as couples.  



The winners were Jazmyn Williams, 7, and Maddox Davis, 6.  First runners up were Addyson Henson, 6, and Isaac Kurtsinger, 6.  The second runners up were Adyson Martin, 5, and Max Fullmer, 5.  

Kassidy Bolin, 13, of Jamestown was crowned as this year’s Miss Teen Laurel County Fair Thursday.  Bolin is the daughter of Barry and Angela Bolin.  Fifteen contestants competed in the pageant.  Earning first runner up was Madison Pergrem, 15, of Richmond, and second runner up went to Kaitlyn Johnson, 13, of Somerset.

12-year-old Mackenzie Cross of Somerset won the title of 2012 Miss Pre-teen Laurel County Fair Thursday.  Cross is the daughter of Brian and Michele Cross.  Sixteen girls competed in the pageant.  Taking the title of first runner up was Presley Morgan, 12, of London, and second runner up went to Ally Alred, 10, of Harlan.

The driver of a Ford Explorer lost control of his vehicle Sunday on Ky. 472, ran off the road and overturned into a culvert. The impact caused the vehicle to erupt into flames.
