New leadership at Saint Joseph

Gerard named as president of London hospital

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. — The new president of Saint Joseph London, a KentuckyOne Health facility, has officially been announced. Greg D. Gerard, the former president of Saint Joseph Berea, will take his seat within Saint Joseph London administration following the retirement of Interim President Bruce Klockars.   Klockars  will retire on Feb. 28, after 23 years in the Saint Joseph Health System.

Gerard will be leaving a 25-bed critical care access hospital to take on Saint Joseph London's 150-bed facility.  The London hospital is currently planning an 30-bed expansion.  

Gerard received the 2012 Social Stewardship Team Award from HPG, 2011 Berea Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year award, and 2009 Berea Chamber of Commerce Man of the Year award.

Prior to his five years at Saint Joseph Berea, Gerard has been a CEO at handful of facilities, including serving as interim president at Saint Joseph Mount Sterling for six months, four years at Prowers Medical Center, and more than two years at Select Specialty Hospital.  Gerard is a graduate of Auburn University and Western Kentucky University, with a bachelor's degree in public administration and master's degree in health care administration.
