LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. —
A robbery of a pizza delivery man on Sunday night has police seeking information on the identity of the robber.
The robbery took place on Thompson Poynter Road, just west of London, just before 9 p.m. Sunday. Information from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office indicates that a pizza delivery man pulled off the road to enter an address into his GPS when a man grabbed his arm and pulled him out of the vehicle. The robber held a knife to the delivery man’s neck and demanded the delivery man’s wallet as well as the money bag belonging to Papa John’s Pizza shop.
Once he had the money bag and wallet, the robber fled the scene.
He is described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, who was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans.
The delivery man sustained some cuts to his arm during the incident.
Deputy Greg Turner investigated the incident. He is being assisted by Deputies Steve Hoskins and Josh Scott.
